A washable mesh catches hair, lint and visible dust before it reaches the finer layers, so the filters behind it last longer.

A dense glass-fibre web traps PM2.5, pollen, mould spores and smoke particles far smaller than a human hair.

Millions of microscopic pores absorb cooking smells, cigarette smoke and gases such as formaldehyde that particle filters can't catch.

A final pass of ultraviolet light neutralises bacteria and viruses, and clean air flows back into the room.
